Back in the lab, we tested the KOALA in a variety of ways including: prolonged stretching, extreme temperature stress between heating and freezing, and "break tests" to check the limits of the KOALA components themselves. The harness broke at 40 pounds of force and the clasp released at 50 pounds which is slightly more than most smartphones these days.
